    This June, Infosys, the second largest software services export company of India, announced that it was planning to conduct a large-scale recruitment exercise in China, with a view to expanding its employment of software personnel by tenfold.

    According to recent statistics, the top 3 largest software companies in India have a total market value exceeding that of the top 100 IT firms in China. In 2003, the total software export of India amounted to U.S. 14.5 billion, whereas China had a score of only U.S. 2 billion.

    In China, a software services company seldom exceeds the employment scale of 1000 workers, whereas in India the number of companies with an employment over 5000 workers is well over 30.

    India has a considerable number of reputable universities of science and technology, among which the Institute of Technology of India is the most renowned. Each year, India turns out 75000 IT graduates and 2 million English language graduates. India is particularly strong in application programme development and maintenance, call center as well as financial management. Its major US. clients include Citigroup, GE Investment and Federal Express.

    今年6月，印度第二大软件服务出口商Infosys宣布计划将其中国雇员人数增至目前的十倍。

    据统计，印度三大软件公司的总市值超过中国前100家IT公司的市值总和，2003年印度软件的出口金额为
    145亿美元，中国还不过20亿美元。

    在中国，千人级别已是中国的顶级软件服务公司，而在5000印度人以上的软件服务公司就有30多家。

    印度有许多享有盛誉的科技大学，印度科技学院是世界几个最好的学院之一。每年印度产生75000名IT毕
    业生和200万名英语毕业生。印度专长于应用程序开发和维护，呼叫中心，财政处理。主要美国客户有Citigroup、通用投资和美国特快。
